Deep in the Big Sky, where the stars are multiplied, a dwelling unfolds out of the landscape along a creek. Contained under a green roof and carefully situated among the rocks, a modern glass box welcomes nature into it’s walls.

An axis aligned with the north star slices into the earth, where an entry procession gradually decends along a cascading water feature. A second opposing axis establishes east to west, where the layout of the program runs along a spine. At the end of the skylit hall retained into the earth, a modern observatory towers out of the ground - the only visible portion of the house from the road.
